In perfect weather conditions, Werribee Rotary has organised a very successful Rhythms and Rides festival at Wyndham Harbour. A big crowd came along to see a variety of vintage cars and motor bikes in addition to many different musical acts on stage.
The event was a financial success and raised significant funds for ROTARY SAFE FAMILIES which was established in 2018 to help prevent all forms of family violence by addressing its underlying causes. It provides solutions for the prevention of violence to women, men, youth, children and the elderly where we live, learn, work and socialise. SAFE stands for Stopping Abuse in Families Everywhere.
The mastermind behind this event was President Lyn Fava who was so delighted with the final outcome. She said "It was very satisfying to see everyone coming out to enjoy themselves and, at the same time, to support Rotary Safe Families. But it would never have happened without the tremendous work of many club members, partners and friends of Rotary, particularly Anne and Alena Randall. They were tireless in their efforts to organise one of the best projects our club has run. Also a special thanks to the Rotary Club of Wyndham Harbour for supporting the day by running a very popular sausage sizzle".
